Mobile Response Carer

Oxford Private Care is looking for a carer to join our Mobile Response Care Team.

As a mobile response carer you will be working a shift working pattern of 2 days on, 1 day standby, 2 days on and 3 days off. On your days on you will be covering care work in the following areas: Oxford including Marston, Headington, Cowley, North Oxford and the city centre, Botley, Cumnor, Kennington, Abingdon, Didcot, Benson, Wallingford, Faringdon, Wantage and surrounding areas. When not covering care duties you will be supporting the Care Management Team in delivering a quality care service for our clients.

You need to be dedicated, flexible, reliable, enjoy working with others and providing care to people in the community.

The position of mobile response carer is salaried at £18,000 and also includes a company car.

Office Administrator

Oxford Private Care is looking for an experienced Administrator to work in a busy in a busy office environment at our offices in Cumnor, Oxford. The ideal candidate should have a background working in a similar role, have good IT skills, be confident in dealing with people, be highly organised, a team player, have excellent communication skills and telephone manner, is methodical and able to multi-task.

You would be dealing with our clients and their families, our carers and other care professionals.  Knowledge of working in the care industry would be useful but not essential. Full training will be given.

We are offering an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing organisation. Salary: £14 – £16k.  Also, as part of being on the on-call rota, you would receive additional pay.  Own transport essential.

Area Care Manager

We are looking for an Area Care Manager to work in our head office in Cumnor, Oxford.  Hours will be 9 – 5pm Monday to Friday plus participation in an on call rota.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of domiciliary care, ensuring that all clients are maintained at home to their satisfaction and, wherever possible, helped to gain full independence.  They will manage and support a team of Area Care Supervisors and carers in the delivery of services through effective management, communication, accurate scheduling and maintaining up to date records on clients.  Essential skills/attributes:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or 4 in Care
  • Ability to analyse workloads and availability
  • Methodical and systematic approach to work
  • Ability to reorganise and delegate work
  • Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels including external organisations and health professionals
  • Team player with a flexible attitude
  • Computer literate –  scheduling database as well as MS Word and Excel etc
  • A working knowledge of CQC standards
  • Good knowledge of safe working practices – including medication, manual handling and safe guarding of vulnerable adults

Community Carers – Oxfordshire

Oxford Private Care is now looking for Carers to work in various areas of Oxford including Cowley, Marston and Headington and Botley, Cumnor and other parts of the city. We also are looking for  Carers to work in Abingdon, Didcot, Benson, Wallingford, Wantage, Faringdon and surrounding areas. 

The successful candidates must have a caring and supportive attitude and they need to be flexible and reliable. Experience would be useful but not essential as we will provide excellent training.

The position is based in the community so you will need to have your own vehicle.  Good rates of pay and performance bonus. Mileage allowance.

We are looking for staff who would cover shifts: 7am – 3pm and 3pm – 10pm plus at least two evenings per week and every other weekend. These are our core hours and carers must be available to work the whole shift time.

We actively support all staff to take additional formal training for a Diploma in Care which is equivalent to an NVQ.

Live-in Carers

OPC is looking for Live-in Carers to live in the homes of elderly or dependent clients in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Four levels of care are considered:

Level 1 - Domestic and Social Assistance: mainly housekeeping and companionship ie. cooking, washing, ironing, light cleaning, shopping, escorting on outings etc
Level 2 - Domestic and Personal Care: all the above plus assisting with dressing, washing, prompting medications, assisting to toilet etc
Level 3 - Domestic and Full Personal Care: all the above plus full assistance with personal care, catheter care, incontinence etc
Level 4 - Complex Care: all the above plus stoma care, dealing with memory loss, dementia, post operative care, terminal/palliative care etc

Variable shift patterns available.

We provide:
