Our Training
Oxford Private Care understands the importance of training and developing its employees to ensure that we are equipped to provide the highest level of care for our clients.
We have a dedicated team who oversees our training programme. This includes working with full time RQF assessors who support our carers in completing RQF Levels 2 and 3 in Care or an equivalent Diploma. We have a formal induction and shadowing programme for all new employees, followed by regular monitoring and supervision.
Every carer receives specific training in the following areas:
- Manual handling for safe transfers and use of lifting equipment
- Food hygiene for preparation of food and meals
- Medication control
- Infection control
- First aid awareness (dealing with an emergency)
- Alert to abuse
Specialist training in many other areas of care is also provided e.g. palliative and dementia.
